Paxillus is a genus of mushrooms of which most are known to be poisonous or inedible. The widespread genus contains 15 species.[2] Species include Paxillus involutus and Paxillus vernalis. Two former speciesTapinella panuoides and Tapinella atrotomentosahave now been transferred to the related genus Tapinella in the family Hygrophoropsidaceae. - There is a border around the image.
